In northern Nicaragua, Pastor Gladys felt the call from God to reach remote communities along rivers and mountain trails. Her 400 km journey began with a boat ride and continued on foot through the heat, carrying only her Bible and Hope magazines. The trip was long and difficult, but she knew that every person mattered to God.
One of those people was Katia.
Living in an isolated mountain village, Katia rarely had opportunities to hear about Jesus. When Gladys arrived at her home, Katia welcomed her inside and listened as she shared the message of God's love and the hope found in Christ.
Together they read Psalm 23. As God's Word spoke to her heart, Katia realized she was not alone and that God's love had reached even her remote corner of the world. That day, she joyfully placed her faith in Jesus.
